Funny happenings
Baby Brudder
A few months ago, shortly after Chase was born the family attended Friday night services at our synagogue. The kids love to participate and during the service the Rabbi asked the congregation if there was anything of note they wanted to announce to the other members of the group. Darcy, our 4 year old daughter and one of our triplets, immediately raised her hand and was the first called upon to make an announcement. Darcy proudly announced that she had a new baby brother, to which she received many "Mazel Tovs". The Rabbi went around the room and the group listened to a few other announcements from the congregation. Just as the Rabbi wanted to move on the next part of the service, Bryce, our other 4 year old daughter triplet raised her hand to make an announcement. Proudly, Bryce announced that she had a new baby brother. Without missing a beat, Darcy piped in, "He's the same one"!
Who is Gorgeous.
The whole family went to the zoo and we were playing in the petting zoo. I was "monitoring" Avery's whereabouts. Another parents comes up to me and looking at Avery says, "She is the most beautiful child I have ever seen." I smiled and said, "thank you". She then looked like she had an epiphany and said, "I mean, after my kids of course".
What's Your Name?
It is very surprising to me that our kids are not intimidated by adults and feel free to ask questions. A few weeks ago we were out for dinner and we were preparing to leave. The kids started talking to our waitress and she stopped to chat. Cooper saw her name tag and asked, "What's your name?" She replied," My name is Brandy". Cooper looked at her and said, " I have a Yuval in my class". She did not have anything to respond.

Kids are Still Fun(ny)
Avery our 2 year old had a good time at Halloween. Avery had trick or treating perfected. She insisted on going in our "wagon" and being brought to the walkway in front of people's houses, would get out walk up to get the candy and then walk back to get in the wagon. She completely refused walking in between people' homes along the sidewalk. She is extremely fearful of "masks" and gave the loudest yells and shrieks of terror that I have ever heard. After seeing the first mask she hugged my legs waited to be picked up and said to me fearfully, "Time for bed, upstairs". Just for reference, I have to write this down so I won't forget it but when Avery yells it is so loud the glass break sensors on our alarm are set off.
Time changes are hard on all but really hard on kids. It was dark early one morning and Avery was up yelling to be taken out of her crib. Audrey went and said to her, "quiet everyone is sleeping". Avery responded, "I am not sleeping".
This past weekend we went to eat with the kids and at the restaurant there was an event that featured our Houston Texan's mascot, a bull named Toro. Toro, walked around the restaurant and gave everyone hi-fives. Avery was scared of the fuzzy 6 foot walking bull. Cooper looked at the bull and said to Audrey, "That cow has sneakers on."
The same night at the restaurant, the Texans also had two cheerleaders at the restaurant and they were taking pictures with people and giving them the printed photo as a souvenir. Cooper had his picture taken alone with the two cheerleaders and the mounted picture was put on display in our kitchen for all to see. A week later I see Cooper walking past the photo, taking a quick look, and saying, "Me and the Guurrrls".

Our family went out of town for a party and stayed at our
cousins. While at the party, the dj gave
out prizes and our 4 year old son Cooper won a pair of headphones that had the
blue label of the chocolate bar “York” patties imprinted on the “can” portions
of the headphones. Cooper was so proud
and happy with his prize that he carried the box to bed and slept with it in
his hand. The next morning he showed his
winnings to his older cousin Kayla, and paraphrasing a little, she said, “Wow, that
is a great prize from the party, those phones are not those cheap black
headphones they give you on the plane”.
Cooper agreed and said, “No, these are BLUE”.
