More Funny things

Our Triplets, Bryce, Cooper and Darcy are now 3 years 5 months old.  Avery is 14 months old

Cooper:
Cooper is a constant stream of chatter.  Once he starts to talk he has no off switch.  He talks to everyone and is not shy to ask anyone questions.  He confidently walks up to strangers and says, "Wuts yurrr name?"  (This is the opposite of Darcy, who also has lots to say, but shields herself with Mommy or Daddy and avoid speaking with strangers).  The other day on one of our "adventures", (an "adventure" consists of walking on or around the block), we often bring people's newspapers that are scattered on our neighbors lawns to their front doors.  We often bump into neighbors who are on walk with their pets.  This night we walked to the baseball field and watch soccer games.  On the way back, as we walk on the sidewalk, occupying  the entire width, we happened to stop a man who who was walking alone.  Cooper without hesitating looked at the man and said, "Man,,,,,, wherz your dog?"  The man walked off not exactly sure what Cooper said but we thought it was funny.

Most mornings, when I have breakfast, I give some of my sugary "junk" cereal to the triplets in miniature plastic Astros batting helmets.  They eat the cereal and ask me for more as I eat my cereal on one of our bar stools at the counter passing their cups up to me which I fill and pass back down.  Avery is usually in her high chair strapped in.  On this morning she crawled to me  pulled herself up and gave me a couple of taps on my knee until I relented and gave her some flakes of cereal in her hand.  I went back to eating and Avery crawled off.  A few minutes later I had tapping at my back.  When I looked down Avery had picked up an Astos cap and was tapping my back with it.  I took the cap, as I do with the triplets filled it with cereal and gave it back to her.  She was happy.

Kids still Say the Funniest things

Triplets now 3 years old, Avery 11 months.

Darcy:

Darcy was having a conversation with Audrey and asked her to try on her wedding ring. Audrey said that Daddy gave this to Mommy when hey got married cause he loves her and that when she gets married she will also get a ring of her own. To which Darcy replied, "yeah, and earrings too!!!"

We took all the kids to their first concert, "The Wiggles" and we all had fun. Before the concert we were outside the venue and Darcy asked, " Are the Wiggles going to come to our house?" A week later exactly we woke up and were planning our day with the kids. When Cooper was asked what we were going to do he proudly and confidently said, " We are going to the Wiggles." I guess he had fun at the concert and figured why not every Saturday?

4/6/2011 Cute Stories

The kids (triplets) are almost three and all not yet potty trained. They are not too fussy when we take them to be changed on the changing table, but occasionally cause a ruckus, so I try and change it up and make it fun. Last week while changing the kids one at a time, I did the same prank to each of them. While on the table I said to them, "Look over there, what's that"? and pointed with my finger. When they looked and their guard was down, I quickly blew on and tickled their stomachs. They all fell for the trick once and they all laughed really hard. A few days later, Cooper innocently came up to me with a sly smile, and with his little arm pointed to the side and said, "What's that"? It took me a minute to realize he did not really want to know what was there but really wanted to be tickled. It was very cute and funny.

Bryce has shown an affinity for different fonts that stores are using and she recognized the "Central Market" logo on one of my t-shirts and we praised her "ability to read". She also recognizes the font and colors of Costco. I was wearing a Roots shirt with a big "Canada" in the middle. I asked Darcy what it said and she answered with a question, "Central Market". It was also very cute.

Avery is attempting to crawl. She is beginning to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. She has very grabby hands. and loves to pull hair.

Kids say the Funniest things

Things sound funny when coming from the mouths of 2 and 1/2 year old and a 6 month old

Bryce:
  • When she was very young she asked, "ZEY Whaaa????" She still says it when prompted with the same tone of interogration, and we still do not know what it means.
  • Just after finishing shopping at Costco, (a discount warehouse store near our home), "Need gas?????"
  • While watching Mommy yawn, "You tired mommy???"
  • When disappointed, "Awe mannnnnn!!"
  • When surprised, "ohhh reallly?".
  • When told no, "Why not?", whether it is appropriate or not.
  • "MineS", after being asked is that yourS?

Cooper:
  • "My golf ball"
  • Cooper walks up to Mommy and without pause says, "Whaaaaatch youuuu doing Mommy?"
  • Cooper likes things he likes in his close vicinity, and while he shows you by pointing to a specific spot he adds, "Wrright hewre!!!"
  • "Wha dat", over and over like a machine gun

Darcy:
  • After putting shoes on her hands, "Mittens!!!!", pauses, "Joke!!!!"
  • Seeing something odd, "That's Funny"
  • Audrey was putting Darcy to bed and together were looking at Audrey's feet. Audrey asked Darcy, "Does Mommy have big feet". Darcy replied, "Yeah and dirty"

Avery:
  • "achhhrrrrrrrrrrrr"

    5out of 5

Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Great Sound Quality

Cons: Absence of a front shield, Popping sound

Best Uses: MP3 Player or comupter, Smaller Rooms

    Describe Yourself: Audiophile, Tech Savvy

    Was this a gift?: No

Great sound, great look. Powerful, when playing even at only low volumes you can feel the air being displaced. Easy to setup. No front shield on the speakers invites nice touches from my children. Occasional popping sound which may be a time out meter when there is no input for a while. Overall, a great set of speakers with clear crisp sound reproduction.
