Our Nanny Anabell is very special.
We are very luck to have found someone so special to take care of our triplets. And everyday she surprises us with another talent we did not know had.
Anabell had worked with four sets of triplets before she came to work with us. It just happened that as we were looking for a Nanny her employer had told her her services were no longer going to be needed as the kids started school. (Initially they said they would still require her services - so lucky for us they reneged on their promise). Anabel had interviewed with other families, but chose our family as she thought we were the "most desperate". She qualified this to mean we had no support network - our families are back in Canada. So she felt secure in knowing that her job was secure. She also later admitted that she usually asks for a contract to be signed to secure her future employment, but did not ask for this contract.
Anabell is American, through marriage, and is a proud Mexican from Monterrey. She is bilingual, with some unique English word modifications that are Anabellisms. Neighbor=Neighborhood; Generic=Genetic; Crill=Crib; Runaway=Right a way; Gum=Gun; Ham=Kosher turkey; he/she are interchangeable; (in fact when she refereed to a girl as a he, and caught herself, she consoled herself by saying, "it's okay he/she is a lesbian").
Anabell's great qualities are many and foremost in those great traits is that she loves our kids. It is obvious in the way she takes care of them and like us hangs on all the doctor has to say at well and sick kid visits. She takes what the doctor says personally like when we are told the kids need to eat more. The love she demonstrates is hard to evaluate for in an interview and we are very lucky she treats this much more important than a job. Anabell's memory and her powers of observation are very astute. She remembers everything we tell her and she remembers medical conditions she has seen before and recalls the therapy that was previously successful. Another great trait is Anabell's caution.
Anabell is much more than our Nanny, even though that is why we hired her. She is basically the chief of operations of our home. She recommended we change our electric company and this resulted in hundreds of dollars saved per month. She had her husband, Stacy, come over to install baby-proofing items for safety of the kids. He also installed a new microwave and changed electrical outlets as well as provided plumbing advice. She organizes our babysitters for nights and weekends when we go out. They call Anabell and she tells them which days they can work. Anabell also recommended her mother to be the Nanny of our friends child and they hired her.
Unexpected benefits that come with Anabell include her delicious cooking. At first she was worried about the intricacies of Kosher cooking but that is a thing of the past. This past weekend though it was not a traditional Rosh Hashanah meal we had a fantastic meal prepared by Anabell. She also makes our bed, which Audrey loves, and does our laundry. This is all in addition to taking fantastic care of our triplets. We call her super-nanny to our close friends, but I do not want word to get out to far lest someone tries to steal her away.
She loves her family, her parents, her husband Stacy and her kids Michael and Alexis. She is very proud of the kids she has raised. Anabell loves to talk. We think she must talk a lot on the phone, and we think because of this our kids think all items about 3 inches long are phones. And because of Anabell our kids will be bilingual.
