2009 01 12

Not sure of the format I want to keep for this blog , so I am trying anything until I settle on something I like.

Kids:
We have three kids - triplets born on May 12th, 2008. Our two daughters, Bryce and Darcy and our son Cooper. Today is their 8 month birthday. We have taken photos in their personalized chairs every month. Maybe I will figure out how to post these in this blog.

Our kids had their first colds ever and the cold has lasted longer than I want. My fear with this illness is that it progresses from an upper respiratory tract infection to a lower
respiratory tract infection. But that is just my craziness - I am pretty crazy. On the positive side, they are generally remarkably in good spirits for being sick for about 10 days. All still smiling and laughing.

We are really lucky and all our kids are incredible.

Our daughter Darcy (Snow Angel), the smallest of the three, has the most unbelievable disposition. She waits calmly in bed and smiles when you arrive. My wife, Audrey, says, "Darcy has not figured out that she can yell to get us to come and see her". I think she is content to do what she wants. She loves being tucked into her car seat, and just saying the word "tuck" makes her smile. She scrunches her nose, gives us an open mouth smile, and shrieks when we do "superbaby" - basically rocking her on her back side to side on an outstretched arm.

Our daughter Bryce (Grabby Hands) is also special. Bryce loves making people smile and laugh. She has developed a laugh which is so beautiful and is so happy to share with everyone around her. Her smile is contagious and makes everyone she meet smile back and comment. She really is a funny girl. She has great hand eye coordination. Bryce is able to focus and concentrate on tasks. I know this sounds odd when talking about an 8 month old but she is really focused when she is playing. She also blinks slllooowllyyy giving an inpression that she understands what you are saying.

Our son Cooper (Lil'man). Cooper is also funny and sweet. Cooper began responding to "Hi", with his own version of "Hi" at about 6 months. It is now a game for Cooper to say "hi" after he hears it, and this can go back and forth for a long time. Cooper is the most snugly of our three children. Cooper was born with the longest eyelashes and he continues to grow these lashes that have all the women jealous.

Hopefully will be able to add photos later in the day.
